Jerrick Cavagnaro, the 2024 First Prize Winner in the American Guild of Organists’ National Competition in Organ Improvisation (AGO NCOI), releases his debut commercial audio recording with “Firm Foundations”.  Mr. Cavagnaro’s program, performed on the organ of Trinity Church, Copley Square, Boston, balances a variety of organ repertoire selections with a series of improvisations in a wide range of improvisatory styles, ranging from the familiar to the post-modern.  Featured tracks are 4 Improvisations upon the John La Farge windows as found in Trinity Church, Boston, as well as a set of variations upon the hymn-tune “How Firm a Foundation.”  This release is the first branded-label audio recording since the restoration of the Nave organ to its 1926 Skinner tonal identity.
